Sharing and Caring
of Niceville, FL "Providing Emergency Food for Those in Need"
Sharing & Caring, Inc. is an emergency food source. Food is available to anyone in Okaloosa County who qualifies within our guidelines. Recipients are interviewed by trained volunteers who complete a comprehensive evaluation of need. The evaluation is then used by other volunteers in filling food boxes. A basic menu of staples, enough for three to four days, is given.
Clients include the homeless, the elderly, singles, and families. They are often referred to us by area churches, other social agencies, or word-of-mouth.
The Center also assists, when funds permit, with prescription medicines and transportation. Personal hygiene products are available and layettes are provided to expectant mothers.
Through networking, we can often refer a client to needed health care, job opportunities or other resources.

Niceville Christian Church regularly supports Sharing and Caring of Niceville through monthly monetary support and with its annual "Tools for School" and "Christmas Shoebox" drives as a way to more effectively help the community in which we live.
